Numerical simulation of fiber orientation in injection mold filling

摘要

A finite element method is used to simulate the moving boundary, the flow and thermal field, and the fiber orientation during injection mold filling. Jeffery's model is employed to predict the fiber orientation. The influence of the fountain flow effect and process conditions on fiber orientation is examined.
