摘要
Intra-articular dislocation of the patella is a rare injury. It is the result of direct blunt injury from lateral or medial forces applied to the patellar edge, causing rotatory displacement of the patellar articular surface. This report describes a 30 year-old woman who presented with her knee locked in full extension at the Emergency Room. The patella appeared with vertical rotational deformity caused the medial border of the patella facing anteriorly and medially, resulted from direct blunt injury. Closed reduction was successful by slight manipulation under intravenous sedation. The patient received conservative treatment with NSAIDs drug and was referred to OPD (outpatient department) for follow up.
