摘要

Mastering the skills in solving word problems is one of the important goals in elementary mathematics education; however, word problems are sometimes difficult for students, resulting in frustration. In this study, the authors design a small game, called Down! Down! Irised Boxes. When students make their effort to solve word problems, they can also interact with the game. The game transforms students' performance into interesting feedbacks in order to enhance students' motivation for solving word problems.
