摘要
Although severe, life-threatening high-altitude pulmonary edema(HAPE) is relatively rare, subclinical or very mild HAPE occurs at altitudes of 2500–3000 m.1 It is important to determine whether teenagers complaining of chest discomfort while they are on mountains have HAPE and quantify of the severity of illness.
Unfortunately, there is a paucity of literature focusing on the clinical management of such cases.
