Abstract

This study analyzed the long-term outcome and electrophysiologic characteristics of patients who developed transient atrioventricular (AV) block during radiofrequency ablation of slow pathway for AV nodal reentrant tachycardia. The present study found a lower incidence (2.1%) of transient AV block during slow pathway ablation, and 1 patient had complete AV block about 20 hours after ablation (second-degree AV block persisted in the follow-up period).
