Aerobics and yoga exercise had a positive effect for health and psychological relief. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of body composition and health related physical fitness improvement in 39 university students after 10 weeks aerobic dance and fitness yoga training program. The average age, height and weight were 20.53 ± 2.36 years old, 159.15 ± 4.55 cm, and 55.89 ± 11.75 kilograms, respectively. The body composition (height, weight, body mass index BMI, fat percentage) ,body circumference (waist and hip circumferences) ,blood pressure (SBP, DBP) and health related physical fitness (sit and reach, one minute sit up, standing long jump, 800m run walk) were tested before and after 10 weeks aerobic dance and yoga training program. The data shown that after 10 weeks training program, there were significant improvements in body composition, body circumference and health related physical fitness ( p＜ .05) . We concluded that there were beneficial effects of aerobic dance and yoga on both body composition and health related physical fitness improvement.
