As wireless LAN-related technologies become increasingly mature, the use of mobile medical equipment (MME) in wireless LAN environments becomes a topic worthy of investigation. This study explored the building of an MME tracking management system (to track and manage MME), in which the MME positioning could be obtained by simply connecting the MME to an online wireless network and use instant signals sent from a backend wireless controller (via a base station). This enables MME to upload signals without the additional costs involved with software and/or hardware installations and users to obtain position-related information by using the MME tracking management system. The MME introduced in this study can be used to facilitate superior management of personnel and users’ control of MME.
