each people in order to reduce medical and long term care expenditure and burden in Taiwan.
Health prevention not only can get rid of illness, decrease medical expenditure, but also increase
quality of life. A healthy community can encourage more volunteers and informal care

For creating a healthy community environment, health prevention should start from personal,
family, community, technology and housing policy. For setting up a healthy community,
five aspects should be boosted as below:1) To promote healthy life style in order to decrease
the incidence of chronic illness, 2) To maintain aged people’s autonomy and independent by the promotion of self care and self management, 3) To create intergenerational exchange in
order to improve intergenerational relations and care-giving, 4) To renovate house facilities
and create aged-friendly environment, 5) To supply client-oriented health care.
