隨著環境變遷、人口老化,以及肺部嚴重性感染伴隨之後遺症狀,肺部纖維化疾病日趨被重視。儘管給予Nintedanib或Pirfenidone藥物治療,特發性肺纖維化病人仍顯示出極差的生存率。迄今,針對肺部纖維化的致病機轉仍有多處尚未被釐清,而臨床治療效果亦相當侷限。因此,對於新穎藥物開發與治療策略執行是為醫療迫切需要。本計畫以老藥新用策略,靶向肌成纖維細胞誘發其計劃性死亡,不僅能有效終止肌成纖維細胞活化,更能協同予以啟動纖維化組織消退、與引發免疫監控機制。計畫設定目標將藉由詳盡探究藥物之分子、藥理、免疫調節、與促纖維化組織消退等面向的機轉,為未來臨床治療肺部纖維化疾病提供更多的可能性。
