Preclinical animal validation is one of the important parts of drugs and bio-medical materials development. It is required to fulfil safety regulations and functional tests enforced by the government before products launched. Although there are Contract Research Organizations (CRO) who provided such services, for those drugs and bio-medical materials derived from novel technologies or knowledge in the pilot stage, whose cost-benefit ratio is unfavorable for the CRO industry, an alternative operator is required. Therefore the program aims to provide a professional and sophisticated consulting and analytic platform in preclinical animal validation targeted for preliminary evaluation in the pilot stage of small/medium-sized bio-company. Tactically, in addition to the main technical platform of imaging and physiological and analysis core of laboratory animal center in Taipei Medical University, the program funding will also help to strengthen the profession of personnel and improving the existing analytic devices. Besides, a consulting/commission office will be set up to deal with the issues between industry and academia. The academic hub/pure experts resource (https://tmu.pure.elsevier.com) of Taipei Medical University will also reinforce the profundity of consultation and the opportunity to match up. This program attempts to translate the academic competence in the field of preclinical animal validation to assist the industry in solving related practical problems.
