Research Interests
- My primary research interest is investigating community living and societal disparity in people with disabilities. My overarching goal is to improve health and participation opportunities of people with disabilities and prevent the emergence or prolongation of disability. To attain this goal, my work involves applying mixed-methods and community-engaged research to: (1) investigate psychological, social, and environmental factors that influence health outcomes in people with chronic health conditions and disabilities; (2) identify and eliminate health disparities experienced by people with disabilities; (3) develop patient-reported outcome measures to evaluate health and participation; and (4) evaluate and improve the quality of health care.
