Our PhD Program in Biomedical Engineering at Taipei Medical University is determined to reflect and anticipate the trends seen in the rapid development of the biomedical engineering field at global level: Biomedical Engineering is the present and is the future ! It therefore offers a complete portfolio in Biomedical Engineering by covering the areas of Biomedical Materials and Tissue Engineering, Nanotechnologies, and Bio-Optomechatronics.
Research in Biomedical Engineering is pragmatic and illustrates the global movement to provide concrete tools, products, and technologies aiming at improving patients’ treatment and at delivering efficient clinical solutions.
Being located next to the Taipei Medical University group of Hospitals with over 3000 beds, our program provides to our international PhD students unbeatable and unmatched direct contacts with clinicians and clinical researchers for an optimal translation of bench findings to clinics.
An additional asset of our international PhD program is to be located in Taiwan, a hospitable, friendly, and convenient country known for its innovative dynamic, creative, and vivid industry. We provide high-level capacity for learning and developing in a suitable safe, and tolerant environment.
Taipei Medical university where our teaching and research take place enjoy one of the best spot in Taiwan close the world renowned 101 sky scraper, in a district full of restaurants, coffeeshops (with free wifi and nice working places), and various food and clothes shops.
Last, but not least, our University and our College of Biomedical Engineering provides fellowships to the foreign PhD students joining us in our research dreams and targets.
For further information please do not hesitate to contact me at thierry@tmu.edu.tw. I will be pleased to answer any inquiry you may have, and help you develop and strengthen your career and the future of your country through meaningful research and targets.
